Reference population

People with disabilities, certified by the appropriate committees or medical examiners, which is recognized for providing monetary benefits.

Notes

The data refer to 31 December of the year under review, the total and average amount of the pensions are reported to the annual amount.
The total and average is calculated on the total benefits received, so it is inclusive also of pensions resulting from conditions not related to the disability.
The amount is calculated not including 20,007 beneficiaries who are resident abroad or have not indicated the place of residence.

The archive represents the most important source of information on pensions and on beneficiaries. From this archive may be selected the following type of beneficiaries: invalid due to work reasons, civil invalids and categories assimilated, war invalids, and those who have suffered a reduction of working capacity (of at least 66%) and have paid a suitable contribution period. It is possible to conduct a territorial and demographic analysis on the distribution of income and as well as on the number of benefits received by people with disabilities.
